Leading with Vision-Creating Lasting Value! Tamrat Admassu
He holds Master of Arts (M.A.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degrees from Addis Ababa University and has earned specialized professional certifications in Project Management, Logical Framework Analysis (LFA), Export Marketing, Leadership and Change Management, Corporate Communications, Quality Management Systems (ISO), Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E), and Advocacy. His academic foundation is complemented by extensive practical experience in institutional reform, executive management, business development, and public-private partnership.
Throughout his distinguished career, Tamrat has held several senior leadership positions. He served for nearly 15 years as General Manager of the Addis Ababa Exhibition Centre and Market Development Enterprise, where he successfully led international trade fairs, business missions, institutional reform initiatives, feasibility studies, and strategic market development programs. Earlier, he served as Deputy Secretary-General (Business Development) of the Addis Ababa Chamber of Commerce and Sectoral Associations, contributing significantly to private-sector development, business advocacy, and Public-Private Dialogue. He also gained valuable multinational corporate experience as Executive Assistant to the Country HR Manager of East Africa Bottling Share Company (Coca-Cola), strengthening his expertise in corporate management systems and organizational performance.
Tamrat has also made significant contributions to the field of Road Traffic Safety. Building on his earlier professional experience with the Federal Road Transport Authority and the Addis Ababa Transport Bureau, he has served for many years as a Road Traffic Safety Consultant to Safety Drivers’ School (SDS), Ethiopia’s pioneering private driver training institution. In this role, he has contributed to the design and delivery of defensive driving programs, road safety awareness initiatives, fleet driver development, and institutional capacity-building for both public and private organizations.
